  • Plantation Drive

    A plantation drive to commemorate the International World Day of Forests was organised to sensitize the students about the merits of enhancing the plant cover for our healthy survival.


  • Disaster Safety Awareness Program

    On the 19th of November, 2024, Department of Environmental Science/ Eco Club in collaboration with the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), Baramulla organized a Disaster Safety Awareness Programme in the college to sensitize the students and the faculty regarding various types of disasters and their mitigation measures.

    National Space Day marks a historic day for India as the nation will be celebrating its incredible achievements in space exploration. This day is not just a celebration of past successes but also a moment to inspire future generations, highlighting the importance of space science and technology in shaping our world. Dr. Ali Mohammed Throwed light on the new avenues and options in the space technology.


  • Painting Competition, 2024

    as a part of weeklong World Environment Week - 2024 celebrations, a painting competition was organized by the Department of Environmental Science in collaboration with the NSS Units and Eco-Club of the college in the Reading Room of the College Library Block on the current theme, ‘Our Land, Our Future’- “Land Restoration, Desertification and Drought Resilience”.


  • Digital Collage Competition, 2024

    Department of Environmental Science in collaboration with the NSS Units and Eco-Club of the college continued the World Environment Week - 2024 celebrations by allowing the students to express their environmental viewpoint by creating digital collages on the current theme ‘Land Restoration, Desertification and Drought Resilience’.


  • Awareness March, 2024

    Department of Environmental Science in collaboration with the NSS Units and Eco-Club of the college continued the celebrations of World Environment Week - 2024 by conducting an ‘Awareness March’ within the college campus under the slogan ‘Save The Trees’.


  • Earth Hour, 2024

    An online interactive program to celebrate the Hour 2024, on the theme, "Uniting for Our One Shared Home“ by the Department of Environmental Science in Collaboration with Eco Club of the college to inculcate awareness and to encourage students in sustainable practices to safeguard the earth and its life sustaining processes.


  • Cleanliness Drive, 2024

    Department of Environmental Science in collaboration with the NSS Units and Eco-Club of the college organized a Mega Cleanliness Drive across the College Campus to commemorate the World Environment Week - 2024 under the theme ‘Land Restoration, Desertification and Drought Resilience’.


  • Earth Day, 2024

    Keeping up with this years UN declared theme, “Planet vs Plastic”, today on the 22-04-2024, the Department of Environmental Science in collaboration with the NSS Units/Department of Botany/Eco-Club of the college organized a painting competition to aware and educate the students regarding the menace of plastic pollution, its impact on planet, Earth and the urgent need to curtail its usage for our safe and sustained future.


  • World Water Day, 2024

    Department of Environmental Science in collaboration with the Eco-Club of the college organized a program to celebrate the World Water Day on the theme, “Leveraging Water for Peace” to aware and educate the students in particular and the masses in general regarding the importance, management and conservation of freshwater resources for our safe and sustained future.


  • Plantation Drive, 2024

    Department of Environmental Science in collaboration with the Department of Botany, Eco-Club and Campus Management & Landscape Development Committee organized a Mega Plantation Drive across the College Campus.


  • GATE JAM 2024 Outreach Programme

    The primary objective of this awareness programme was to shed light on the significance of GATE and JAM exams in higher education. Participants gained valuable insights into the numerous academic and career opportunities that the exams opened up. The session witnessed an active participation of students and faculty members from diverse departments.


  • One-Day Seminar followed by Consultation on Polycystic Ovarian Disorder/Syndrome (PCOD/PCOS)

    The Department of Psychology successfully organized a One-Day Seminar followed by Consultation on Polycystic Ovarian Disorder/Syndrome (PCOD/PCOS) on December 3rd 2024 , in collaboration with Paras Hospital, Srinagar. The event was graced by the esteemed Dr. Komal Rathore, Senior Clinical Dietician, as the keynote speaker. The seminar revolved around the theme: "PCOD/PCOS: Exploring the Nexus of Psychology, Lifestyle, and Behavioral Health."
